Our Mission
The primary mission of the Wright Lab is to understand how our brains are able to learn from experience and how this ultimately shapes our behavior in both health and disease. We are particularly interested in determining how synaptic function, integration, and plasticity underlie the computational properties of individual neurons and how they shape how information is encoded within large-scale neural circuits. We also seek to understand how synaptic function becomes dysregulated in psychiatric disorders, with a particular focus on addiction.
