Join Us

Our lab is interested in recruiting motivated and talented individuals to join our team. We are currently hiring for all levels of experience from postdoctoral fellows to undergraduate researchers. Our lab primarily uses systems-level neuroscience experimental approaches, but we are interested in hiring individuals with backgrounds in all biological disciplines, including biochemistry, genetics, cellular and molecular biology/neuroscience, and systems biology/neuroscience. Individuals primarily with analytical and computational backgrounds but are interested in learning experimental approaches are also encouraged to reach out to us. See below for instructions on how to apply.
Why join us?
Our goal is to make fundamental discoveries about the brain and have a meaningful impact on the field. To achieve this I plan to build a collaborative team, driven by curiosity and ingenuity, that seeks to explore the scientific questions we are passionate about. As part of this, I am committed to providing a welcoming and supportive lab environment that allows each member to excel and reach their professional goals while contributing to the research of the lab. Above all else, I prioritize the enjoyment and fulfillment we get from conducting scientific research and will foster a community that reflects this.
Why Rutgers and New Brunswick?
Rutgers is home to a vibrant and expanding neuroscience community. The Wright Lab will be located in the new Helix complex located in downtown New Brunswick, NJ. We will be joined at the Helix by other core members of the Rutgers Addiction Research Center as well as the newly established Center for Neurometabolism, offering a rich neuroscience environment with ample opportunities are unique collaborations. In addition, we are only few miles from the Rutgers Piscataway campus, which is home to the Department of Neuroscience and Cell Biology, the Department of Cell Biology and Neuroscience, and the Center for Advanced Biotechnology and Medicine, providing even more opportunities for training, networking, and collaboration. Beyond the science, New Brunswick is centrally located in New Jersey with easy access to major cities, such as New York and Philadelphia, that are just a short train ride away. New Jersey is also home to numerous beaches, parks, and mountains all within reasonable driving distance for those who love the outdoors. In addition, the Helix is directly across the street from the New Brunswick train station, providing easy public transit commuting options for those who wish to live outside of New Brunswick. This makes it easy to accommodate a variety of lifestyles, whether you want to live in the city, suburbs, or rural areas.
